Jaymie Forburger-Taylor | The Mexia news


Jaymie Forburger-Taylor, age 67 of Mexia, passed away on March 4, 2024 at Ascencion Providence Hospital in Waco.

Jaymie was born September 16, 1956 in Lubbock to Capp James Bird and Faola Pearl Patton. She married Daniel Castro Jr. in 2003. and lived in Mexia since 2015. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, writing, drawing, singing and spending time with her family, fishing and traveling. She cherished those moments and was happily married to Daniel and enjoyed being with him.

Jaymie was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rose and Daniel Castro; sister-in-law, Melinda Hanks; and brother-in-law, Paul Pena.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Castro Jr. from Mexia behind; son, Zachary Taylor of Lubbock; brother-in-law, Antonio Rafael and Mayro Castro of Cisco; Esmeralda Castro from Acuna, Mexico, Delila Castro; brother-in-law, Carlos and Zarida Castro of El Paso; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Goddard of Hilo, Hawaii; Jose Castro of Pensacola and sister-in-law, Griselda Perry of Pensacola; aunt, Carmen Buzon of Fort Worth and sister-in-law, Odile Reutoria of Lubbock.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at God’s House of Deliverance at 530 W. Hopkins. on Saturday, May 18.
