The U.S. Department of Justice says the plane maker violated a deferred prosecution agreement

Boeing has violated a deferred prosecution agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice in connection with the crashes of two 737 Max planes, the department said, leaving the embattled plane maker exposed to possible criminal charges.

The company violated the agreement “by failing to design, implement and enforce a compliance and ethics program to prevent and detect violations of U.S. fraud laws in the course of its operations,” the filing said Tuesday.
