New boutique hotel planned for downtown Springdale

A Northwest Arkansas investment group plans to renovate a vacant building in downtown Springdale, near Walter Turnbow Park and the Razorback Regional Greenway, into a new hospitality development.

Spring Street Ventures, led by Greg Taylor, unveiled plans Tuesday (May 14) for a boutique hotel at 101 Spring St., north of Emma Avenue, called The star of spring. The 9,000-square-foot Airbnb-style hotel will have ten double rooms and three suites.

“Designed for both business and leisure travelers, stylish and spacious The rooms are equipped with luxurious comforts and amenities that are designed for even the most demanding guests,” according to a press release.

The hotel’s name is inspired by its history as a former showroom of Star Automobiles. While the interior of the two-story building will undergo a complete renovation, the new owners will maintain the historic brick exterior.

Spring Street Ventures paid William Palkowsky $625,000 for the property in January 2020.

Bentonville-based Pink Door BnB, a full-service Airbnb management company led by Suzanne Styles, will lead the hotel.

Milestone Construction of Springdale is leading the renovation and BiLD Architects of Fayetteville is the design firm. Legacy Bank is financing the construction project. It should be completed by 2025.
