Highlights from last night’s primaries in Maryland, West Virginia and Nebraska:

  • Angela Alsobrooks easily won the Democratic nomination for the Maryland Senate race. Larry Hogan starts the race with high favorable ratings, but a nationalized race favors Alsobrooks.
  • In West Virginia, Republican Attorney General Patrick Morrisey defeated the sons of Representative Carol Miller and Senator Shelley Capito Moore for the Republican nomination for governor.

The Democratic Senate primaries in Maryland proved that money isn’t everything. Despite putting in more than $62 million of his own money, Rep.
