It’s that time, East Haven! Beach parking permit renewals are live


EAST HAVEN, CT – East Haven Police are asking residents to reapply for their beach parking permits. Here’s the process.


Remind someone to renew their parking permit for the beach area for 2024!

Beach parking permits are live

The 2024 beach season is approaching!

To maintain the integrity of the program, we will require ALL of our residents to reapply for a beach parking permit.

This means that if you had an electronic permit linked to your vehicle to park in a permit-only area near the beach, you will need to reapply for a new permit.

This will be the first time residents have had to re-apply since the program started four years ago.

The process for both registering for an account and applying again is extremely simple and can be followed below:

If you already have an UpSafety account-

1. Log in to your account at

2. Find the correct permit for your address: Residential E-permit -2024 or Residential E-permit – 2024 (Beach District)

3. Click Register

4. Add or edit the vehicles you will add to the permit type

5. Upload approved proof of residency

Because we need everyone to reapply, please complete this as soon as possible so that you are approved before the 2024 beach season.

New account holders must create an account at and follow the steps above.

Permits are issued free of charge to residents.

Please note: Residents who live on parking-only streets will receive new parking passes by mail.

The permit season runs from May 15 to October 15
